Job Summary

Support Marine/HSSE and Technical Managers by managing technical databases, coordinating audits, and maintaining safety and operational documentation to ensure compliance and efficient maritime operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Marine/HSSE and Technical Managers in resolving daily operational issues to ensure smooth workflow
  • Update and maintain fleet technical databases, vessel particulars, and operational statistics to support accurate reporting and decision-making
  • Manage vessel SIRE and vetting databases, records, and statistics to uphold compliance and readiness for inspections
  • Support the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) by maintaining and updating ISM-related documents to ensure regulatory adherence
  • Coordinate and prepare documentation for internal and external audits to facilitate compliance verification
  • Compile and update Company and shipboard Safety Management System (SMS) manuals, procedures, and official forms to maintain operational standards
  • Organize and support Company management meetings, drills, and exercises to promote safety and preparedness
  • Provide administrative support as directed by Managers to enhance departmental efficiency

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma in Marine Technology or a related discipline
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a marine HSSE and technical role within the maritime industry

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Sailing experience on ships, particularly oil tankers
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
