Summary/Objective
The Marketing Co-op works under the guidance of the Marketing Manager to support marketing and alliance initiatives across social media, content creation, event coordination, sales collateral, account-based marketing (ABM), and more. This hands-on experience introduces the co-op to vendor management, collateral creation, and brand alignment concepts. The co-op will learn CRM management, website maintenance, alliance enablement, and internal communications while gaining practical marketing experience. This position is perfect for a student eager to gain real-world marketing experience, learn from professionals, and develop skills in a collaborative, supportive team environment.
Requirements
Essential Functions

- Support execution of social media content across multiple platforms to help drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Support coordination with third-party vendors to help ensure timely delivery of marketing materials and collateral.
- Assist in creating marketing collateral under guidance, supporting service offerings and sales efforts.
- Support alliance and co-sell enablement activities, including co-sell administration, partner funding program paperwork (e.g., ECIF), and partner portal upkeep.
- Support the creation and version management of sales collateral, ensuring materials are accurate, on-brand, and readily accessible to the sales team.
- Learn about Account-Based Marketing (ABM) by assisting with campaign support tasks under supervision, including helping with content ideas and tracking under management direction.
- Support coordination of industry events, including logistics, promotions, and communications, to enhance brand presence.
- Perform basic website hygiene tasks, including content updates and edits.
- Assist with blog post drafting under direction, learning to communicate industry insights and company initiatives.
- Support distribution of internal marketing communications to align cross-functional teams and ensure consistent messaging.
- Help maintain CRM data accuracy under supervision, learning how clean data supports marketing efforts.
- Review social media engagement metrics with guidance and report findings to the Marketing Manager.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure alignment on marketing initiatives and deadlines.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment, and all co-ops are expected to work in the office every day. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This role includes occasional travel, with an expected commitment of approximately 10-15% of the time. The primary travel requirement will be attending industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
- Punctuality and timely attendance to external client and internal stakeholder needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 0-1 year of marketing experience preferred; internships, class projects, and student organization work count; no prior experience required but eagerness to learn is essential.
- Basic project coordination skills, including supporting the planning, initiating, monitoring, and completing of team projects.
- Exposure to marketing strategy execution across digital and offline channels to help drive brand growth.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (from personal or academic use) and willingness to learn content management systems and email marketing tools.
- Good writing skills for clear communication across different formats; ability to learn how to adapt messaging for different audiences.
- Good organizational skills and ability to track multiple tasks; comfort working toward deadlines with support from the team.
- Good communication skills and comfort working with diverse team members; ability to ask clarifying questions and seek feedback.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
- Interest in learning vendor/supplier coordination processes.
- Experience helping plan events (in any capacity, including classroom or student organization events).
- Comfort with basic data review (spreadsheets, analytics dashboards) and curiosity about what the numbers mean; flexibility in approach to tasks.
- Strong eye for detail to ensure accuracy in marketing materials, website content, and data.
- Interest in how brands are built and positioned; understanding of brand basics.
- Interest in or basic knowledge of cybersecurity (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with tech industry partnerships is a plus, but not required.
- Willingness to learn about Account-Based Marketing (ABM); no prior experience needed.
