Marketing Engineer

Energy Aspects is shaping its marketing team to support the next chapter of the company's growth. As part of this evolution, AI sits at the heart of the marketing function: automated workflows do the heavy lifting, and people focus on strategy, judgement, and quality. We are hiring a Marketing Engineer to build and run the technical layer that makes this possible — the systems, data pipelines, and automated workflows that turn strategy into execution, reliably, at speed, and at scale.
You are the engine room of the marketing function. Our content, website, events, and demand-engine strategy are shaped across the team. You're the person who turns that strategy into something that actually runs: you build the workflows, wire up the tools, automate the reporting, and keep the data clean. Nothing ships without the technical layer you own — and you'll have real influence over how it all fits together.
The function is organised around two demand engines. Account-based marketing (ABM), targeting existing and strategic accounts, is led by the Campaign Manager. New Customer Development (NCD) — winning new logos — is led by the Digital Marketing Manager together with the SDR team. Both are fed by an AI-driven content engine, and both run on the same technical foundation. The Marketing Engineer is the shared layer beneath all of it: the clean data, reliable workflows, and automation that let ABM, new-logo motion, and content delivery run at speed.
You'll report to the Head of Marketing and work day-to-day with the Campaign Manager, the Digital Marketing Manager, and the SDR team. Much of the marketing function runs on AI agents connected to our tool stack, so building and maintaining that infrastructure sits at the centre of the role — working alongside engineering, following best practice, and using our standard tooling throughout.
• AI workflows & automation. Build, configure, and maintain the automated workflows and AI agents that run our marketing operation. Connect these agents to our tool stack (Salesforce, Pardot, Salesloft, Apollo, Slack, and others) via API and MCP integrations, and keep them running reliably. Handle prompt configuration, output QA, and connecting AI outputs to downstream systems — all built on the AI models and tooling centrally approved by the Technical team.
• Content pipelines. Our content strategy is generated and scaled with AI. You deploy, run, and maintain the pipelines and agents that turn content ideation into editorial direction, campaign assets, sequences, and social copy — connecting outputs cleanly to the systems that publish and distribute them. You keep the content engine running.
• CRM data & sync. Working in coordination with the Salesforce development team, maintain clean, accurate contact and account data in Salesforce. Build and manage list segmentation, lead routing, and lifecycle-stage logic to the specifications set by the marketing managers, and audit and resolve data quality issues. Platform-level configuration — connected apps, API access, integration scopes — follows the Salesforce standards agreed with the Technical team.
• Reporting infrastructure. Build and maintain the dashboards and data pipelines the marketing managers use to run content engagement, attribution, pipeline, and funnel analysis across all channels. These build on Energy Aspects' existing data warehouse and BI layer to keep a single source of truth, and it's on you to make the numbers reliable and accessible.
• Web, SEO & HTML. Maintain our Duda CMS and support technical SEO and conversion work on landing pages and trial sign-ups. As we move toward a code-first web stack, you'll do the hands-on build on Energy Aspects' engineering platform and to agreed engineering standards. You'll also produce and QA clean, responsive, on-brand HTML email templates wherever automated generation needs a human hand.
• Sales enablement. Support both demand engines operationally. For the new-logo motion, give the Digital Marketing Manager and the SDR team the ICP list builds, segmentation, and routing they need to prospect at scale. For the ABM motion, build and run the account-targeting workflows that support the Campaign Manager.
• Fluent English. Our team, our deliverables, and our clients operate in English; confident written and spoken communication is essential.
• Strong AI experience and appetite. Hands-on with AI tooling in a marketing or technical context — prompt engineering, workflow automation, or integrating LLM outputs into marketing and CRM systems. Comfort with AI tooling isn't optional; it's how this team operates. Curiosity about where this technology is going matters as much as current knowledge.
• 3–4 years as a software engineer or in a comparable hands-on engineering role, ideally with exposure to commercial tooling (CRM, marketing automation, prospecting platforms).
• Salesforce CRM experience — building reports, managing objects, and understanding the lead-to-opportunity flow in a B2B environment — together with proficiency in at least one enterprise marketing automation platform (Pardot, HubSpot, Marketo, or Eloqua). Pardot experience is a strong plus, since it's our platform.
• SQL or equivalent — able to query a database to answer a marketing question without needing data engineering support.
• Hands-on coding experience in Python or a similar language for automation and data pipeline work, with Git, version control, and documentation as standard practice.
• Appetite for hands-on web development, and comfortable writing HTML and CSS without relying on a template library.
• A builder's mindset. You take direction and turn it into robust, working systems. You care about clean data, reliable workflows, and things that don't break, and you take pride in being the person the rest of the team depends on.
• Strong attention to detail. Our clients are sophisticated buyers in financial markets; sloppy data or broken sends carry reputational cost.
Desirable:
• B2B SaaS or financial data / research background.

• Exposure to ABM tools or intent data platforms.
