Responsibilities
1. Market Research & Lead Generation
- Identify and research potential customers across government, PSU, defence, and private-sector channels relevant to Vrisva's product lines
- Build and continuously grow a database of prospects, including company/organisation details and decision-maker contact information.
- Monitor and apply GeM, CPPP, state e-procurement portals, and defence-specific channels (DRDO, HAL, BEL, OFB) to spot upcoming tenders and RFQs, and flag qualified opportunities to the sales team
- Identify relevant government grants and MSME schemes that may be applicable to target customers
2. Data & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date prospect and lead data in Zoho CRM.
- Segment and organise customer data by sector, region, and opportunity type to support targeted outreach.
- Regularly verify, clean, and enrich contact data to keep the database reliable
- Use Zoho Campaigns/Analytics to track outreach engagement and refine targeting criteria.
3. Outreach & Lead Nurturing
- Run cold outreach and email/LinkedIn campaigns to generate and qualify new leads.
- Source prospects using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, IndiaMART, and TradeIndia
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads against basic fit criteria, and nurture them through initial conversations, follow-ups, and information sharing.
- Own the relationship and coordination with each prospect up to the point of final negotiation — scheduling meetings, sharing collateral, and answering preliminary queries
- Prepare briefing notes and background on each qualified prospect before handing off to senior leadership for final negotiation and closure
4. Handoff for Closure
- You are responsible for the account at every stage before that — ensuring the prospect is well-qualified, informed, and ready for the closing conversation.
- Stay involved through the handoff to support continuity, and pick up the relationship again for renewals or repeat business where relevant.
5. Reporting
- Submit weekly and monthly reports on lead volume, data quality, and campaign performance.
- Track and report on the status of monitored tenders and procurement opportunities, and on prospects nearing handoff
Requirements
What
You Bring
2–3 years of experience in market research, lead generation, or B2B/institutional marketing
Working familiarity with government procurement portals (GeM, CPPP, or similar) for tracking opportunities and listings
Basic understanding of government tendering processes and timelines
Familiarity with MSME schemes and government grants
Proficiency in Zoho CRM (Campaigns/Books/Analytics a plus)
Strong English communication; Kannada or Hindi is a bonus
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
