Marketing + Growth Operator — Full-Stack, Team Lead Track
Summary
Remote full-stack marketing role at Botanopia, an Amsterdam-based wholesale plant-lifestyle brand: own Klaviyo email flows, Faire marketplace optimization, and B2B outreach end-to-end, then hire and lead a small marketing team on a track to Head of Marketing. Requires 4-6 hours CET overlap; pays EUR 2000-2200/month.
Remote · Full-Time · Botanopia · Amsterdam-based plant lifestyle brand
This is a full-time, remote position. Our entire team works remotely, and we use time tracking with activity verification, with 4 to 6 hours of hard-required overlap with our working hours. Please read the "How We Work" section carefully before applying.
About Botanopia
We make beautiful products for plant lovers and sell them wholesale to around 1,200 independent retailers across Europe and the US, through Faire and direct B2B. Small team, high standards, no fluff. We care about good taste, clear thinking, and work that actually moves the needle.
About the Role
You will own marketing end-to-end for a growing wholesale brand, working directly with the founder. No committee. Real ownership. The mandate is to grow our retailer base, reactivate lapsed accounts, and expand what existing customers buy from us.
This is a full-stack marketing role: you start hands-on, doing the actual work across email, wholesale platforms, and outreach. But this is not a long-term solo position. Once you have found your footing, you will be expected to build and lead your own small marketing team from scratch. That means finding the right people, hiring them, training them, and setting them up to succeed, whether they end up as freelancers or in-house hires. Roles might include social media management, graphic design, translation, and lead generation, but you will help define what the team actually needs.
The goal: build the marketing function, then lead it. Not years from now. Quickly. The title grows into Head of Marketing as the team is built around you.
What You Will Do
In the first 90 days
Own Klaviyo: audit existing flows, segment our B2B list, build reorder reminders, win-back sequences, and campaign calendars
Optimise our Faire EU and US shops: listing SEO across multiple languages, promoted listings, Faire Market campaigns
Establish a weekly reporting rhythm covering Klaviyo revenue, Faire ROAS, and account growth
Identify quick wins and bring structure to what is currently ad hoc
As you ramp up
Take full ownership of the marketing roadmap
Identify where additional capacity is needed and define what kind of hire fills it
Find, hire, and train team members from scratch — whether freelance or in-house — across areas like social media management, graphic design, translation, and lead generation
Build the processes and standards they work to
Delegate execution as the team grows, and shift your focus to higher-leverage decisions
Further out
Lead a small, high-performing distributed marketing team
Own performance across all channels
Set priorities, manage people, drive results
This Role Is Not a Fit If
You have mainly worked in a support or coordination capacity
You have not owned marketing results end-to-end
You only want to execute and have no interest in building or leading a team
You rely on detailed instructions to get started
You cannot commit to 4 to 6 hours of hard-required overlap with CET working hours
What We Need From You
Solid hands-on Klaviyo experience: flows, segmentation, campaign management
Real understanding of B2B or wholesale e-commerce, not just D2C
Genuine aesthetic sensibility — you need to understand what makes a brand beautiful
Experience managing or clearly ready to manage people and freelancers
Fluent written English (Dutch, French, or German is a bonus)
Proactive communication style: you update us, we do not chase you
How We Work
Our entire team is remote, spread across several timezones. That works because we are structured for it: clear ownership, a weekly reporting rhythm, and honest visibility into what everyone is actually doing.
We use time tracking software with activity verification for all team members. This is not about micromanaging your day, it is about making sure the hours you invoice are hours actually worked. We also use it to look at how time is actually spent across the team, so we can figure out what to do more of, what to drop, and what should be automated or handed off. The goal is to make the work itself better, not just to watch a clock.
We do require 4 to 6 hours of hard-required overlap with our working hours (CET). During that window you need to be reachable and responsive: quick replies on Slack, available for ad hoc calls. Outside that window, your time is your own.
We have structured this role with regular deliverable check-ins and a weekly reporting rhythm so that performance is visible on both sides. This benefits you as much as us: you always know where you stand.
What We Offer
€2000 to €2,200/month (~$2300 to $2,550), reviewed at 6 months with clear criteria
Compensation grows as the role grows into team leadership
Paid monthly via Wise, in EUR or UAH, whichever you prefer
20 days paid time off annually
€50/month learning budget
A brand with real traction, real products, real retailers — and a founder who will invest in making you successful
How to Apply
No template emails. Include answers to all five questions below. Applications that do not answer all five will not be reviewed.
In your own words: what is the biggest difference between marketing to wholesale retailers versus marketing to end consumers?
One specific Klaviyo flow you have built from scratch: what was the trigger, what did the sequence look like, and what result did it produce?
Have you hired or managed a team or group of freelancers before? Describe how you structured it and what you learned. If not, tell us specifically how you would approach building a small team from scratch.

We look forward to hearing from you.
