Marketing Operations Manager (AI & Automation)

Full-time (40hrs per week) / Remote (CET Time)

You will work with one of Europe's fastest-growing consumer brands, helping scale its marketing organization through AI, automation, and operational excellence .

As the company continues its transition into a true omnichannel business , Marketing Operations has become a critical competitive advantage. In this role, you'll embed across multiple marketing teams to identify operational bottlenecks and solve them through process design, AI, workflow automation, and scalable systems .

This is not a Project Manager or Marketing Coordinator role . You won't simply recommend improvements, you'll diagnose problems, build solutions, implement them, train teams, and measure their business impact.

Responsibilities

1. Marketing Operations & Process Optimization

  • Embed across Growth Marketing, CRM, Creative, Influencer Marketing, and Brand & Campaign Management to understand how each function operates.
  • Identify where time, quality, or operational efficiency is being lost.
  • Prioritize the highest-impact improvement opportunities and build scalable solutions.

2. Design Marketing Operating Systems

  • Own the marketing operating rhythm, including:
    • Campaign brief intake
    • Planning cadences
    • Post-campaign reviews
    • Weekly performance reporting
  • Build repeatable operational processes that scale as the company grows.

3. AI, Automation & Marketing Technology

  • Own the marketing automation ecosystem.
  • Evaluate existing tools and standardize the technology stack.
  • Design and deploy automations using Claude Code, Trigger.dev, Hookdeck, and n8n.
  • Automate workflows including:
    • Reporting
    • Campaign QA
    • Asset routing
    • Lead management
    • Lifecycle automation

4. Reporting & Business Impact

  • Build executive reporting used by marketing leadership.
  • Partner closely with the Business Intelligence Lead to improve data infrastructure.
  • Measure every initiative through tangible business outcomes, including:
    • Hours saved
    • Cycle-time reduction
    • Error-rate improvements
    • Faster decision making

5. End-to-End Ownership

  • Own every improvement initiative from diagnosis to implementation.
  • Document new workflows and train teams to successfully adopt them.
  • Ensure every solution continues working after handoff.
  • Share learnings with the central AI team to help standardize operational best practices.

Requirements

  • Experience in Marketing Operations, CRM Operations, Growth Operations, Brand Operations, or similar operational marketing roles.
  • Strong understanding of both marketing strategy and marketing execution.
  • Hands-on experience building automations using n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar no-code/low-code automation platforms.
  • Experience using Claude Code or other AI-powered development tools.
  • Strong skills in process design, workflow optimization, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to independently prioritize initiatives and execute projects end-to-end.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect operational improvements to measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience implementing AI-powered workflows within marketing organizations.
  • Experience in high-growth startups or rapidly scaling consumer brands.
  • Exposure to omnichannel marketing environments.
  • Experience partnering with Business Intelligence or Data teams.
  • Strong understanding of CRM lifecycle management, campaign operations, and marketing reporting.
