Masonry Project Manager

Masonry Project Manager Location: Indianapolis area

Reports to: Director of Operations, Masonry Leader

Powers & Sons Construction is seeking a Masonry Project Manager to lead new masonry and restoration work throughout the Indianapolis area. This role manages work performed by our masonry crews on Powers & Sons projects and for other general contractors, with responsibility for project execution, crew coordination, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Project management: Manage masonry projects from planning through closeout. Review drawings, specifications, and contract requirements; establish schedules, coordinate sequencing, and resolve issues affecting delivery.
• Field coordination: Coordinate our masonry crews with superintendents, foremen, and project teams. Plan labor needs, monitor production against budgets, and adjust resources and work plans as conditions change.
• Purchasing and logistics: Manage material and equipment purchasing, supplier coordination, and deliveries. Plan site access, staging, and material availability with field leadership to keep crews productive.
• Financial management: Own project budgets, job cost tracking, billing, and change orders. Review labor productivity and material costs, forecast costs to complete, and address variances with the Director of Operations.
• Client and project coordination: Maintain relationships with Powers & Sons teams, outside general contractors, and other project partners. Coordinate RFIs, submittals, scope changes, and project documentation; communicate progress and resolve concerns.
• Safety and quality: Visit sites regularly and work with field leadership to uphold safety requirements and masonry quality standards. Identify installation or coordination issues early and follow through on corrective action.
• Closeout and reporting: Complete punch lists, final billing, and required closeout documentation. Keep the Director of Operations informed of project performance, staffing needs, and risks requiring attention.

Qualifications

• Masonry experience with a working knowledge of materials, installation methods, sequencing, and labor productivity. Experience in new construction and restoration is valuable.
• Project management experience is preferred. Masonry superintendents, foremen, and professionals in related roles with applicable management and coordination skills are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, coordinate field operations and suppliers, and manage schedules, job costs, and changes.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to maintain accurate records and use software for project tracking, documentation, and reporting.

Masonry estimating experience, including quantity takeoffs and labor and material pricing, is preferred but not required.
