A contract data engineer role in Copenhagen supporting measurement and metocean data management across the full lifecycle — ingestion into the Atlas platform, QA/QC, automation, and user enablement for offshore measurement campaigns (metocean, lidar, structural monitoring). Core stack includes SQL, APIs, scripting, and Dataiku, with a push toward AI-enabled workflows.

We are looking for an experienced specialist to support measurement and metocean data management across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and quality assurance to system maintenance and user enablement.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and developing data ingestion workflows into Atlas and related platforms, ensuring timely availability of measurement data for project development, bidding activities, and operational requests. You will work with large datasets originating from metocean monitoring systems, lidar campaigns, structural monitoring systems, and other measurement technologies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support and optimize Atlas data ingestion processes

  • Maintain and improve data management workflows and supporting systems

  • Develop scripts, tools and automations for data processing and visualization

  • Work closely with engineers and SMEs to ensure data quality and usability

  • Drive onboarding activities and develop training material for internal users

  • Establish scalable processes and best practices for data management

  • Contribute to the long-term strategy for measurement data, automation and AI adoption

Requirements:

We are looking for someone who combines strong IT and data competencies with a solid understanding of measurement systems and the physical phenomena behind the data.

You should have experience with:

  • SQL, APIs and scripting

  • Dataiku

  • Data processing and automation

  • AI-enabled workflows

  • Measurement systems and measurement data

  • Data quality and calibration principles

  • QA/QC processes

  • Working with technical end users and engineering stakeholders

  • Experience with metocean, lidar, structural monitoring or similar measurement technologies would be highly relevant.
