Tico is hiring Mechanics, All Skill Levels at our site in Fort Lauderdale Florida. This position is typically an 8-hour shift, with occasional overtime. Great pay, benefits, sign on bonus and lots of room for growth! 95% of our fleet are trucks we build at our plant in Ridgeland S.C. They all have the same power package and driveline. They are mirror images of each other, less for a mechanic to have to learn to become proficient and…... we can train the right candidate!
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling, DPF, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
- Ability to utilize computer software diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
- Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs.
- Performs maintenance related work as required.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess preferably 2+ year experience in either/or:
- Heavy truck repair
- Heavy, medium duty or farm equipment repair.
- Forklift or construction equipment repair.
- Automotive maintenance and repair.
- Completion of a diesel or automotive tech program.
Good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic is a preferred quality.
Must maintain your own tool set (company provided tool program available.)
