We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Supervisor to support the maintenance and reliability of advanced manufacturing facilities. You’ll play a key role in ensuring plant equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while working alongside experienced engineering professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise mechanical maintenance contractors in executing plant maintenance, shutdown, modification, and construction activities safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with Operations and cross-functional maintenance teams to ensure smooth execution of maintenance works without disrupting plant operations.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical investigations on equipment failures, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan and execute mechanical modifications and improvement projects based on operational and business requirements.
- Maintain and repair static and rotating equipment, including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, blowers, and agitators.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety standards and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and SS651 requirements.
- Support emergency plant breakdown response and provide timely resolution to critical mechanical issues.
- Coach, train, and develop contractors and maintenance personnel to enhance technical competency and safe work practices.
Requirements
- Diploma (for Mechanical Supervisor) or Degree (for Mechanical Engineer) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, refinery, power generation, or process manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting static and rotating equipment.
- Knowledge of SAP PM and Microsoft Office applications will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and contractors.
