Mechanical Technician

Job Description

1. Handle and maintain marine machinery, including engines and related systems.
2. Troubleshoot and attend to repair works / breakdown works on assigned vessels.
3. Perform engineering work onboard ship or other locations such as dismantling, maintenance, repair, overhaul and installation work.
4. Test, measure and adjust engine system.
5. Recommend parts replacement.
6. Assemble, dismantle, service & repair of pumps, valves, gearboxes, hydraulic cylinders, and other machinery parts inside the workshop and on-site.
7. Ensure that corrective maintenance and repairs are carried out to minimize downtime.
8. Support the Company’s warehouse team during stock taking.
9. Perform routine housekeeping of worksite to ensure the workshop is kept safe, neat and clean for work.

Requirement

• Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification
• Preferably with experience in internal combustion engines
• Experience in Marine environment will be advantageous
• Proper apprenticeship training with a reputable engine-related
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in related area
