Medical Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care, acts as a patient advocate, and supports patients and families throughout the healthcare system. Responsibilities include assisting providers, preparing rooms, collecting specimens, administering medications, documenting electronic health records, and helping with patient discharge. The Medical Assistant also assists with self-management goals, insurance and referrals, conducts outreach after hospital stays, retrieves medical records, and helps with pharmacy questions.
