We're looking for a Senior Development Operations Officer role to provide a unique combination of skills and play a major role in tackling climate change.

You’ll be joining our growing team, reporting to the Head of Development Operations. We are looking for one role to be based in Europe to reflect our portfolio. This role is responsible for leading the development of high-quality project plans, reports, and strategic communications, while strengthening engagement with partners and supporting organisational priorities. Working collaboratively across programme and operational teams, the roles will ensure effective coordination, quality assurance, stakeholder stewardship, and the continuous improvement of processes, communications, and strategic opportunities.

  • Work closely with relevant internal stakeholders to contribute to the development and implementation of program and strategically-aligned partners’ reporting strategy.
  • Support programs and strategically-aligned partners in meeting their compliance requirements.
  • Lead the orchestration of complex, multi-stream projects to ensure institutional alignment and consistency.
  • Maintain document quality assurance by creating and using templates and defining writing standards.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to prepare and staff key external meetings, and direct the development of essential materials like talking points and briefings.
  • Develop systems for maintaining key information such as partner profiles, FAQs, and history of interactions.
  • In collaboration with relevant teams, support the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy.
  • Research and identify new strategic opportunities relevant to the program and partners.
  • Any other duties to be assigned from time to time
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Health, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience, specifically as an operations manager and/or as a project coordinator/manager.
  • Proven experience in partner or stakeholder engagement and developing complex project plans.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience utilizing or implementing CRM systems to track partner engagement and improve operational workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively across time zones.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language; additional languages are an asset.
  • A genuine interest in and passion for addressing climate change.
  • The disposition to work generously with colleagues in a high-trust global community of peers.
  • The versatile and adaptable skills necessary to flourish in a fast-paced and wide-ranging work environment and work across time zones using tools such as Zoom, Slack and email (Google Workspace).
