MEP Engineer – Technical Building Audits & Due Diligence

As an MEP Engineer in our technical due diligence team, you will support the assessment of building services installations across a wide range of assets such as offices, logistics facilities, data centres, laboratories, and mixed-use developments.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a first experience in technical installations, maintenance, facility management, or building services engineering who wants to grow into a more advisory and analytical role.

What you will do

Technical assessments

  • Support technical due diligence assignments for real estate and investment clients
  • Review and assess technical installations including:
    • electrical systems
    • HVAC
    • fire safety systems
  • Help identify technical risks, maintenance issues, and potential investment priorities
  • Support high-level feasibility studies for different types of buildings and assets
  • Assist in evaluating building systems in line with the NEN2767 standar

Research and reporting

  • Collect, structure, and analyse technical building information
  • Carry out desk research and review available documentation
  • Contribute to clear, concise reports for clients and investors
  • Support the presentation of findings to colleagues, clients, and third partie

Team collaboration

  • Work closely with surveyors, consultants, architects, and engineers across Arcadis
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary projects with our sustainability and design & engineering teams
  • Support the preparation of joint proposals and technical advisory services
  • Keep developing your technical and consulting skills with the support of experienced colleagues

Who we are looking for

  • Degree in electro-mechanics, electricity engineering, or another relevant technical field
  • Around 1 to 3 years of experience in:
    • technical installations
    • maintenance
    • facility management
    • building services engineering
    • technical inspections or audits
  • Interest in technical building assessments and advisory work
  • A structured and analytical mindset
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Good knowledge of English and Dutch; French is a plus
  • Good command of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice to have

  • Experience in a maintenance or facility management company
  • Exposure to technical audits or condition assessments
  • Familiarity with NEN2767
  • Experience with commercial, logistics, healthcare, lab, or mission-critical assets
