Merchandiser – Development

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Bodywear team as a Merchandiser - Development. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to effectively handle a portfolio of customers from the receipt of inquiries/orders to the transfer of orders to manufacturing units in order to meet business objectives such as customer contentment and retention, through high levels of service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate sample development, approval, and dispatch with timely communication and issue resolution.

  • Negotiate pricing and cost with customers to align with business goals.

  • Source raw materials and negotiate terms to meet quality, price, and delivery expectations.

  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely sample production.

  • Liaise with manufacturing to support procurement of bulk materials.

  • Create and track time and action calendars to monitor production progress and resolve issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of timelines, Minimum Order Quantity ( MOQs), pricing, costing, and Bill of Material (BOMs).

  • Ensure compliance and quality standards are communicated and approved by the factory.

  • Conduct market research and provide insights to management

  • Take on additional duties as required by management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Degree in Marketing, CIM/CIMA

  • Minimum 1-2+ year of work experience in front-end merchandising with exposure / experience in development and order processing cycles

  • A relevant professional qualification is preferred
