Job Title: MHN Manager of Patient Accounts

Position Summary:

Marshall Health Network is seeking a Manager of Patient Accounts to lead and supervise the billing and third-party collection operations for patient accounts. This role ensures accurate and timely billing processes, adherence to third-party reimbursement procedures, and compliance with collection regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of billing and patient account collections.
• Establish and enforce processes to ensure timely and accurate submission, billing, and payments.
• Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of third-party reimbursement procedures and collection regulations.
• Collaborate with Medical Records and Performance Improvement Departments to ensure proper coding and resource utilization.
• Utilize systems like the Receivable Management Workstation and Soarian to support efficient patient accounting.
• Monitor aged accounts and maintain aging levels within acceptable parameters.
• Coordinate education and training programs for staff to ensure compliance and competency.
• Manage personnel functions including hiring, evaluations, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to safety and conduct standards.
• Actively participate in performance improvement and compliance initiatives.
