Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join a team in Abu Dhabi. The role requires 5–8 years of experience with strong hands‑on expertise in enterprise data engineering, data architecture, and Microsoft Fabric implementations. Candidates should have recent practical experience working with Fabric and modern cloud data platforms.

The successful candidate will work across Microsoft Fabric components including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Factory, alongside Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, PySpark, SQL, and enterprise ETL/ELT processes. The role also involves data migration, Power BI semantic modeling, hybrid connectivity, security, governance, and enterprise data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
• Work with Fabric OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Factory.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Implement data transformations using PySpark and SQL.
• Apply Medallion Architecture to enterprise data platforms.
• Work with Azure Synapse, ADF, ADLS Gen2, and Azure SQL.
• Perform data migration from on‑premises and cloud environments to Fabric, Synapse, or Databricks.
• Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models.
• Implement Fabric Lakehouse transformation and orchestration workflows.
• Configure and support hybrid connectivity, private endpoints, and gateways.
• Implement enterprise data governance and security controls.
• Contribute to enterprise data architecture and platform design.
• Support scalable and secure data engineering solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and technical needs.
• Contribute to modern data architecture initiatives, including Data Mesh and Real‑Time Intelligence where applicable.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Data Architecture.
• Recent hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric is required.
• Strong experience with:
