Microsoft Technical Lead - focus on Data / Azure / SQL server / Azure SQL

Salary: $180,000 – $185,000 + Super

My client has an urgent requirement for a technical lead to champion the design, implementation and support of a loan origination and servicing technology platform.

This role will involve a combination of enhancing existing systems and solutions in conjunction with the regular onboarding and integration of new systems into existing environments and platforms.

This is a hands-on technical lead and delivery position, and the successful candidate will be expected to wear multiple hats, with the main focus being hands on delivery and technical leadership in a Microsoft Azure / SQL server / Azure SQL environment.

Key focus: In addition to the general technical lead based duties described above and below, this role will require a focus and then deep understanding of the client's data warehouse, acquired data and data related systems. This understanding will then be used as a focal point to support development and delivery of the client's overall ecosystem and general applications ongoing.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee and own the development, testing, and implementation of technology solutions.

• Review, interpret and respond to business requirements, ensuring alignment between stakeholder expectations and current and future technology capabilities and business landscape.

• Define and design technology solutions to assist in meeting business objectives.

• Report on technology delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented in line with requirements and agreed timeframes.

• Own the technology solution design and delivery lifecycle by defining and refining processes and procedures for requirements gathering and business case development, approval processes, execution, and operational handover to the service delivery team.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on initiatives to ensure proposals align with technology roadmap, vision, and cybersecurity requirements.

• Identify system, infrastructure, and project interdependencies whilst balancing competing demands to ensure project deliverables are achieved.

• Web-application deployment (including .NET, NodeJS, ReactJS)

• Application Development (including React & React Native)

• CICD Pipeline management

• Complex data management (incl services such as Power BI, SSRS, & Microsoft Fabric)

• Active/Passive infrastructure management

• Usage of Secure by Design principles

• Zero Trust

• PowerShell

• Advanced cloud management

Candidates with financial service and or loan origination or mortgage experience preferred.
