Summary
Coforge is hiring a mid-level Java developer in Kraków to build, test and improve software solutions, working onsite 2-3 days per week. The core stack is Java 17, REST/JSON/SOAP services, Git, Maven, CI/CD (preferably GitHub Actions) and the Elastic Stack, with cloud (GCP preferred) and Terraform exposure.

We are at Coforge hiring for Mid Level Java Developer Engineer with Java v.17, REST, JSON and SOAP, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, Elastic Stack
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops, codes, tests and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing products,
- Help design and code applications using routine and/or advanced technology,
- Propose ideas to improve application performance and stability,
- Encourage high coding standards, using best practices and high quality,
- Attend status meetings and provide oral and written reports regarding work progress,
- May take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology.
- Hands on experience with Java v.17+ software development
- Knowledge of REST, JSON and SOAP
- Experience with tools like Git, Maven
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions
- Basic knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform)
- Knowledge of cloud-based tech/languages, technology stacks (preferred GCP)
- Good analytical skills
- Team working skills, team player
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
- Openness to learning and improving development processes as well as quality practices (e.g. smoke tests, acceptance tests, integration tests)
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to influence across product/engineering; excellent written design documentation.
- Nice to have: Experience with static analysis and application security tools (e.g. SonarQube, Veracode)
- Knowledge of React.js and experience in developing front-end applications will be an advantage.
