Mobile App Engineering - iOS & Android

Veridia is building AI-powered products at the intersection of human interaction, coaching and knowledge work. We are looking for a hands-on Mobile App Engineering specialist to work directly with the founder on a live product pilot.

This is not a “toy project” developer. You will work on a real iOS and Android application, ship production features, integrate with backend and AI services, test on real devices, and participate in product decisions from prototype through pilot deployment.

What you’ll work on

• Build and ship features for our iOS and Android mobile application
• Develop primarily using a cross-platform mobile stack such as React Native / Expo; Flutter experience is also welcome
• Integrate mobile clients with APIs, authentication, databases and AI services
• Implement real-time and asynchronous product interactions
• Work with device capabilities such as notifications, microphone/audio, camera and permissions where required
• Debug issues across frontend, backend and mobile environments
• Write and maintain automated tests
• Test releases on real iOS and Android devices
• Work from product/design specifications and translate them into production-ready features
• Use modern AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code or similar agentic development tools
• Submit clean, reviewable Git commits / pull requests and document important implementation decisions

What we’re looking for

You do not need years of professional experience. We care much more about what you can actually build.

Ideally, you have:

• Built at least one meaningful mobile application yourself
• Experience with React Native, Expo, Flutter, Swift or Kotlin
• Good JavaScript / TypeScript or equivalent programming fundamentals
• Familiarity with REST APIs, authentication and databases
• Comfortable working with Git and an existing codebase
• Ability to debug independently rather than only implement from tutorials
• Strong willingness to use AI coding agents as part of your daily engineering workflow

Experience with React, Node.js/Python, realtime systems, LLM APIs or App Store / Google Play deployment is a plus.
