Mobile Core Engineer – Subscriber Data Management & Signaling
We are looking for a Mobile Core Engineer responsible for subscriber data systems across legacy and 5G, ensuring consistency and correct behavior during authentication, provisioning, and mobility.
We will consider both senior candidates with extensive experience and juniors with shorter experience, and can adapt tasks and responsibilities in line with the candidate's profile.
We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented and fearless when facing complicated tasks, values good cooperation and communication skills, and can work independently and proactively within his or her own field of expertise.
- Mobile core network architecture (3GPP releases/GSMA/IETF standards)
- Mobile network functions across 5G SA/NSA and 4G EPC
- Interfaces with adjacent systems in a mobile operator environment
- Operate and maintain subscriber systems: HLR / HSS/UDM/UDR & policy control systems SPR/PCF / charging systems.
- Develop and maintain signaling routing on the STPs, DRAs, SCP & SEPP including NRF & NSSF for 5G SA.
- Support subscriber provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Support integration with other core network functions.
- Technical vendor management, including feature requirements specification and follow‑up.
- Familiarity with protocols like SIGTRAN, Diameter, Radius, and HTTP.
- Monitor platform performance and ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with vendor for onboarding new network functions.
- Good understanding of cloud environments (Telco Cloud) and virtualization.
- Knowledge of APIs.
- Experience in virtualization and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of roaming and interconnect scenarios.
- Basic scripting or database querying (SQL).
- IoT experience is beneficial but not required.
- Support automation initiatives for operational efficiency.
- Strong team working and collaboration skills.
- Customer‑focused mindset with strong communication abilities.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation, troubleshoot issues, and drive incident resolution to minimize downtime. Conduct post‑mortems and implement corrective actions to enhance reliability.
