Mobile Frontend Developer, MNC (6-months contract)
Summary
This role is for a mobile frontend software engineer to build and maintain secure, scalable mobile payment experiences and Mini Program capabilities. The position requires extensive experience with iOS or Android development, AWS cloud services, and robust API security practices.
Our client is a leading digital payments and technology company, and they are looking for a Frontend Mobile Software Engineer to build secure, scalable and seamless mobile experiences across their digital payment ecosystem.
This is a 6-month contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to business requirements and satisfactory performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mobile UI/UX experiences supporting merchant discovery, WebView journeys, QR/NFC launches, consent flows, payment experiences and post-payment journeys.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of mobile Mini Program capabilities, from development and integration through testing and production deployment.
- Develop secure frontend-to-server and server-to-server integrations with multiple external partners.
- Apply secure development practices, including API security, vulnerability management, secrets management and secure-by-default design.
- Build and maintain automated testing and quality controls, including unit, integration and API contract testing, CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, conduct root-cause analysis and contribute to operational processes.
- Work closely with Backend, QA, Security and external partners to identify risks, resolve issues and ensure successful delivery.
Requirements
- 8 or more years of hands-on mobile development experience delivering production-grade iOS or Android applications.
- Strong experience with iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin/Java), including WebView and bridge integrations.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with AWS-native environments, with exposure to services such as ECS/Fargate, API Gateway/ALB, RDS, S3, CloudWatch/CloudTrail and WAF.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Bitbucket.
- Strong understanding of API security, including authentication, request signing/HMAC, nonce/timestamp validation, anti-replay and idempotency,
