Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring that units are moved from point "A" to point "B" in a safe and timely manner, while following all company policies and procedures. In addition, this position is responsible for effectively leading team members in order to achieve daily goals.
Responsibilities

Primary

Move vehicles to their proper location in a safe and efficient manner.
Communication and teamwork.
Effectively lead team members on bus, providing direction and assistance, in order to meet daily goals.
Ensure that all vehicles moved in the yard are moved in a safe and timely manner to their correct locations by Glovis standards.
Willfully complete all tasks as instructed by leadership.
Enforce safety and company policies and procedures.
Conduct pre-shift safety and job briefing meetings
Ensure team members are wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Ensure team members are protected by blue flag signal, before working on rail equipment
Report all incidents immediately; to department manager and contact senior manager, safety manager or human resource personnel.
Conduct a hazard assessment of work area, and inform team members of safety hazards found.

Secondary

Only allow team member certified or have documentation of training to operate equipment (loading ramps, shuttle vans, forklift, golf cart).
Maintain work areas clean.
Communicate and work with internal/external customers, supervisors, and peers to accomplish tasks effectively.
Coordinate and communicate with other Van Drivers to ensure everyone is working together to achieve the same goal.
Communicate to the supervisor any problems that arise, that could hinder them from meeting the daily goal.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good interpersonal skills in order to work well as a team.
Good driving record.
Prior leadership experience preferred.

Valid State Issued Driver's License Required

Working at heights
Operating loading ramp when needed after being trained

Exposure to chemicals/fumes
