About the Role

As a Sales Executive (Multi-Property), you will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and converting group, catering, and event opportunities across both JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa and AC Hotel by Marriott Gold Coast.

From the initial client enquiry through to contract execution, you will work closely with clients to understand their requirements and secure business that aligns with each hotel's sales strategy. Once confirmed, you will partner with the Event Planning team to ensure a seamless transition from sales to event execution.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Distribution, you will play an important role in driving revenue growth and increasing market share across accommodation, food and beverage, meetings and events, spa, and other revenue-generating opportunities. This position offers exposure to two distinct Marriott brands, requiring the ability to tailor solutions and match client needs to the most suitable property.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
  • Handle incoming enquiries and leads from all channels, including telephone, email, Cvent, Marriott systems, and third-party RFP platforms.
  • Convert group, catering, and event opportunities across both properties.
  • Prospect for new business through sales calls, networking, referrals, and relationship-building activities.
  • Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets and conversion goals.
  • Conduct post-event follow-up calls to identify repeat and future business opportunities.
  • Actively promote Marriott Bonvoy Events and other Marriott programs throughout the sales process.
Client Management
  • Build strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Conduct engaging and tailored site inspections showcasing both properties' facilities and capabilities.
  • Coordinate client entertainment activities, including menu tastings where applicable.
  • Respond to all enquiries within established service standards, including acknowledging enquiries within 90 minutes and providing proposals within 24 hours.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to develop tailored event and accommodation solutions.
Administration & Systems
  • Maintain accurate booking details, client records, and correspondence within Marriott sales systems.
  • Ensure all opportunities are correctly coded with relevant source and market segment information.
  • Prepare and issue contracts, deposit requests, and related documentation in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Monitor option and contract dates to ensure timely client follow-up.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of function diary and sales systems.
Revenue & Market Performance
  • Quote rates and availability in accordance with hotel pricing strategies and sales guidelines.
  • Maximise revenue opportunities across accommodation, catering, event space, food and beverage, spa, and ancillary services.
  • Identify opportunities to increase market share and strengthen each property's competitive position.
  • Work closely with Revenue, Sales, and Event Planning teams to optimise business outcomes.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Sales, preferably within hospitality, hotels, events, or tourism.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach to sales.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales platforms.
  • Knowledge of Marriott sales systems, Cvent, or similar platforms will be highly regarded.
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
