What you'll do

  • Collaborate with software development and IT operations teams to streamline the deployment of Murex applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes for Murex applications.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in real-time, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or Ansible to ensure consistent and reliable environments.
  • Implement security best practices within the Murex platform, including vulnerability assessments and compliance checks.
  • Work with database administrators to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity within Murex.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems, ensuring rapid response to incidents and outages.
  • Engage in capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure the Murex environment can handle increasing workloads.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables related to Murex deployments and upgrades.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the DevOps practices within the organization.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps role, preferably with a focus on Murex or similar financial platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Murex architecture and its components, including trade processing, risk management, and reporting functionalities.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Groovy for automation tasks.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly in deploying and managing Murex applications.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, as well as experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
  • Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance standards related to Murex operations.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management frameworks.
  • Previous experience in a financial institution or fintech environment.
