Eidel is an engineering company specializing in electronics, software, and system design for space and defense. Our expertise lies in remote sensing, remote control, and encryption. The markets we operate in are experiencing significant growth, and this is expected to continue in the coming decades. Eidel has a growing portfolio of projects and is looking for a .NET developer to join our team and support our continued growth.

About the Role

As a .NET developer at Eidel, you will be responsible for .NET development within a variety of projects, usually product oriented. You will work closely with the system engineers and embedded software developers to build applications which interfaces hardware units and the users in the best possible way.

You will follow the lifecycle of a product from molding the idea, developing the code, and maintaining the software.

We are a small team of .NET-developers at Eidel and your impact on the software design will be significant.

Desired Background:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field

  • Experience with software and system architecture design

  • Experience with Component based architecture, SOLID, REST APIs and Micro Services

  • Experience with the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including issue tracking, version control, code reviews, automated builds, and CI/CD

  • Knowledge of secure software development principle

  • Experience writing clear and well-structured technical documentation, including architecture descriptions and API documentation

  • Ability to design and develop intuitive, user-friendly, and maintainable software solutions

  • Low-level network development experience is a plus

Experience in some of the following technologies:
  • .NET

  • C#

  • WPF, ASP.NET, Blazor, and WinForms

  • Client/Service applications using WEB API and message queuing

  • Integration patterns and distributed systems

  • Message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ or similar)

  • Relational databases like SQLServer or PostgreSQL. NoSQL and document databases

  • Test driven development (TDD)

  • Docker and Kubernetes

  • Linux (e.g. RedHat)

  • Knowledge of the communication standards such as Ethernet, USB and UART

  • Structured and detail-oriented

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to understand issues from multiple perspectives

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach

  • Comfortable supporting and guiding colleagues

  • Clear communicator who can challenge when needed

  • Patient and persistent when solving complex problems

  • A keen eye for clean code, maintainable solutions, and modern architecture

  • Interest in Space, Defence, Security or Data Acquisition is a plus.

Security Clearance

Applicants must hold Norwegian citizenship and be eligible for Norwegian security clearance (SECRET / NATO SECRET).
