Southern Alps is a Southland based hospitality and project management firm currently managing two local motels and undertaking a number of commercial construction projects.
About the Role
As a Network Administrator you will play an important role in both management of the motels and the successful completion of various construction projects. As a part of the Southern Alps team, you will work to ensure the properties and work sites stay connected.
Main Tasks
· Manage and maintain internet and computer network infrastructure across multiple properties and operational sites.
· Install, configure and administer routers, switches, wireless access points, network equipment and associated systems.
· Monitor network performance, capacity, connectivity and reliability, and optimise systems where required.
· Diagnose and resolve network faults, outages, connectivity issues and other technical problems.
· Assess existing network infrastructure and recommend upgrades, improvements and expansion requirements.
· Configure and maintain network security, access controls and associated communications systems.
· Plan and implement network upgrades and infrastructure for new buildings, accommodation facilities and remote work areas.
· Maintain network documentation, equipment records, configurations, fault records and maintenance information.

· Relevant degree OR Minimum of 3-year relevant work experience

Package & Benefits
· Full-time, Permanent Position (minimum 32 hours / week)
· Transfer from Te Anau to Work Site as needed (40-minute travel, 1-way)
· Competitive Salary based on experience ($35 - $45 / hour)
