Network Automation Solution Developer

Summary

Develop and execute test strategies for network automation solutions, validating IP/MPLS orchestration and service portals using Robot Framework and CI/CD pipelines.

As a Network Automation Solution Developer, you will validate Service Portals and ensure their reliability for leading telecom operators. Working with agile, cross-functional teams, you will develop and execute test strategies for orchestration, automation, and service assurance across IP/MPLS networks. You will leverage test automation tools, troubleshoot issues, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous integration and delivery, helping deliver high-quality network automation solutions.

  • Design and implement comprehensive end-to-end test strategies for Service Portals, focusing on performance and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Robot Framework for regression, functional, and system testing.
  • Validate complex IP/MPLS network topologies, ensuring thorough testing of orchestration and automation functionalities.
  • Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing within the release process.
  • Review and assess product requirements and design documents to ensure they meet testability standards.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers, providing guidance and participating in peer reviews to enhance team skills.
  • Report on quality metrics, defect tracking, and performance validation to ensure high-quality product releases.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Telecommunications, IP Networking, or related field
  • 10 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in the telecom/networking domain.
  • Proficiency in Robot Framework, Python/Java scripting, and test automation design patterns
  • Strong understanding of IP and network virtualization concepts.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Familiarity with Nokia NSP architecture and service provisioning (e.g., L3VPN, TE tunnels)
  • Experience with Linux-based environments, network emulators (e.g., IXIA, Spirent), and protocol analyzers (e.g., Wireshark)
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
