Detailed Job Description

Your day-to-day responsibilities include deploying Cisco Catalyst and Nexus core hardware, administering VMware NSX distributed firewall (DFW) policies, configuring software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) and DNS services, and managing enterprise load balancers. You will operate in a collaborative enterprise environment while partnering closely with client IT engineering squads and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, deploy, and maintain advanced enterprise routing and switching fabrics utilizing Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.


• Administer VMware NSX software-defined networking environments, distributed firewall (DFW) policies, and virtualized security boundaries.


• Design, manage, and optimize enterprise wireless local area network architectures, AP controllers, and secure SSID policies.


• Configure and support core network services including Domain Name System (DNS), Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN), and load balancing solutions.


• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex data center network outages, routing loops, packet drops, and switching bottlenecks promptly.


• Execute rigorous network security hardening, access control list (ACL) reviews, micro-segmentation, and policy optimizations.


• Coordinate cross-functional network changes, firmware upgrades, and data center migration windows in adherence to strict SLA standards.


• Maintain meticulous network architecture documentation, topology diagrams, configuration backups, and incident tracking records.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, or related technical discipline.


• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive professional hands‑on experience in enterprise routing, switching, and core network engineering.


• Strong, demonstrable operational expertise working extensively with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching hardware.


• Minimum of 4+ years of dedicated professional experience managing enterprise wireless network architectures and controllers.


• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional experience administering VMware NSX, distributed firewalls (DFW), and security policies.


• Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in DNS, SD-WAN deployments, and enterprise load balancing technologies.


• Excellent analytical problem-solving aptitude, technical documentation skills, and strong cross-functional communication capabilities.


• Mandatory legal work authorization and physical availability for professional operations in Manila, Philippines.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Professional vendor certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE Data Center or VMware Certified Professional (VCP‑NV).


• Prior professional working experience in top‑tier data center environments, system integration firms, or telecommunications carriers.


• Hands‑on familiarity with automation scripting languages (Python, Ansible) for network infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.


• Experience utilizing enterprise IT ticketing platforms (ServiceNow, Jira) and advanced network monitoring/observability tools.


• Exposure to cloud networking architectures (AWS VPC, Azure VNet) and containerized network functions.
