Network Engineer - 1 Year Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Network Engineer to support the provisioning, implementation, testing, and activation of customer IP services. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in networking who enjoy troubleshooting, working with customers, and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.

You will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of network services, working closely with Service Delivery, Project Management, and Field Engineering teams to meet customer requirements and service commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision, implement, test, and activate customer IP services.
• Perform technical validation of customer IP service orders.
• Act as the technical point of contact for Service Delivery, Project Management, and Field Engineering teams during implementation activities.
• Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth service deployment.
• Conduct remote troubleshooting and fault isolation during service installation and activation.
• Identify and proactively escalate issues that may impact service quality or deployment timelines.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful service delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation and implementation records.

Requirements

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline.
• Experience or training in Network Engineering, Network Support, Telecommunications, or Infrastructure Support.
• Good understanding of IP Networking concepts and technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced service delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with any of the following certifications will have an advantage:

• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
• JNCIA (Juniper Networks Certified Associate)
