Job Summary

The Network Engineer L1 is responsible for providing first-level support for network infrastructure, monitoring network performance, troubleshooting basic connectivity issues, and ensuring smooth operation of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and network security devices. The role involves incident management, ticket resolution, and escalation to higher-level network engineers when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network performance using network monitoring tools.
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting for: LAN/WAN connectivity issues Wi-Fi connectivity problems
  • VPN access issues DNS and DHCP-related incidents
  • Respond to network alerts and service requests.
  • Configure and maintain basic network devices such as switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Perform user onboarding activities related to network access.
  • Create and maintain network documentation and asset records.
  • Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 network teams.
  • Support network change implementation activities.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity exercises.
  • Ensure adherence to IT security and compliance policies.

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of:

  • Routing and Switching concepts
  • MPLS

Must be a CCNA and CCNP Certified
