Network Engineer (Multiple vacancies, infrastructure)
Summary
Infrastructure/network engineer in Tsim Sha Tsui maintaining data centre facilities, cabling, Windows Active Directory, mail/file services, endpoint management and EDR, plus security patching, backups and user support. Requires 3+ years' IT experience; on-call and weekend work may be needed.
Salary: $30,000 – $45,000 per month
Key responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure and user endpoints
Maintain data centre facilities and perform daily operations such as cabling, hardware installation, and routine inspection
Provide technical support on departmental services including mail services, file services, Windows Active Directory (AD), endpoint management, anti-malware and endpoint detection and response (EDR)
Collaborate with ICT team members and outsourced contractors in the implementation and delivery of IT infrastructure projects
Provide technical and operational support for users regarding IT facilities, including workstations, laptops and smartphones
Perform IT security tasks such as security patching, firmware updates, certificate renewals, and reviews of user account, system configurations, and security logs to ensure compliance with up-to-date security policies and guidelines
Perform regular system monitoring, health checks, system and data backups, disaster recovery drills, and other housekeeping tasks
Evaluate and assess IT products during procurement and participate in the testing and implementation of new IT products and devices
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and technical documentation
Provide on-call technical support duties and perform overtime work, including work outside of normal office hours, on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, as and when necessary
About you
Higher Diploma / Degree in Computing or related subjects
At least three (3) years' post-qualification information technology experience of which at least two (2) years' is in related areas
Familiarity with structured cabling standards and hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting is a plus
Experience in supporting enterprise network and infrastructure systems such as mail system, file servers, endpoint detection and response, endpoint management, Active Directory, and/or system monitoring
Experience in Linux system installation and administration is a plus
Working experience in data centre management or relocation is a plus
Good written Chinese and English, and fluent spoken Cantonese and English
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with users and contractors
