Network Engineer

Salary: AUD 115000 - 125000 per annum

An Australian household brand in the tourism sector is looking to take on a Network Engineer for an initial 6 month fixed-term period. The company has been in operation for over 100 years in Australia and they are continuing to expand.

They are looking for a mid-level Network / Infrastructure Engineer to join an existing team to help with Network & Infrastructure operations. This will initially be a 6 month position but has good potential for extension or to be made permanent.

The position will be 2 days a week in the office in Coolangatta and 3 days from home.

What you will be doing:

• Provide excellent BAU operations to the company's vast Network
• Configure, maintain & deploy various Network devices such as Fortigate Firewalls
• Perform Windows Server administration, hardening & patching
• Take ownership of escalated support from the service desk
• Collaborate closely with other Network & Infrastructure Engineers to ensure high availability of the company's IT Networks

What you need to succeed:

• 5+ years experience in Network & Infrastructure Engineering
• Excellent troubleshooting and operational support experience
• Proven hands-on experience supporting, deploying and upgrading Network Devices
• Strong core routing & switching experience
• Network Security experience with Fortigate firewalls ( or similar )
• Demonstrated experience managing and patching Windows Servers
