Salary: AUD 160 - 175 per hour

Infrastructure Architect – Network & Security Design Canberra | Federal Government | Long-term Program

A major Federal program is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and evolve complex ICT network environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in secure, high-assurance domains and can translate business needs into robust, scalable and compliant technical solutions.

The role: You’ll play a key part in shaping the organisation’s network and infrastructure capability. Your work will span design, assurance, documentation and stakeholder engagement across multiple systems and environments.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and building ICT network infrastructure aligned to whole-of-government security and policy requirements
  
  
• Facilitating workshops to capture business requirements and define improved network processes
  
  
• Leading continuous improvement activities to ensure capacity, availability and operational resilience
  
  
• Providing specialist technical advice to stakeholders and escalating complex issues where architectural input is required
  
  
• Managing competing priorities within a team of specialists
  
  
• Transferring knowledge to departmental staff and ensuring documentation meets recordkeeping standards
  
  
• Producing high quality architectural deliverables including:
  
  
  • High-level designs and technical security documentation
    
    
  • Detailed designs and as-built documentation
    
    
  • SOPs, technical support artefacts and post incident inputs
    
    
  • Security authorisation and assurance documentation
