Network Security Engineer

Salary: Day Rate

Daily Rate Contract - Firewall/Network Engineer (Palo Alto/Azure Firewall) - 6 month + Extension -850-950 a day

Reporting to the Network Manager, this Firewall Engineer will play a key role in a major Data Centre remediation and relocation project. The role combines project delivery and BAU, designing and implementing complex firewall and network solutions across Palo Alto and Azure environments.

Duties/Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy Palo Alto and Azure firewall solutions for on-premise and cloud networks
• Support data centre migration by re-architecting network connectivity and security zones
• Implement automation and policy management through Panorama and Azure Firewall Manager
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across hybrid networks
• Collaborate with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to optimise network performance and security posture

Skills and experience

• Strong technical background in firewall and network engineering - Palo Alto
• Deep experience with Palo Alto Networks (including Panorama) and Azure Firewall
• Experience with F5
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, VPNs, BGP, and network segmentation
• Proven ability to design and implement hybrid on-prem/cloud network security
• Experience supporting large-scale data centre or migration projects
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation and network monitoring tools is advantageous
