Network & Security Engineer
Salary: $4,500 – $6,100 per month
About the role
We are looking for a hands-on Network & Security Engineer to support the planning, deployment, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise network and cybersecurity infrastructure. The successful candidate will be involved in network and firewall projects, troubleshooting complex connectivity and security issues, preparing technical documentation, and working closely with internal project teams.
Key responsibilities
Lead and support the planning, deployment, configuration, testing, and implementation of enterprise network infrastructure and firewall projects.
Configure, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network security devices.
Implement and provide advanced technical support for network and security solutions.
Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network, firewall, security, and connectivity issues.
Support firewall policy configuration, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, network segmentation, NAT, and related network services.
Support Day 2 Maintenance for the implemented networks.
Collaborate with customers, vendors, consultants, and project teams to ensure successful project implementation and delivery.
Participate in site surveys, technical discussions, solution implementation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation including High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), network diagrams, implementation plans, Method of Procedure (MOP), test plans and test reports, configuration documentation, and operational and troubleshooting procedures.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and project handover activities.
About you
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure, network security, or firewall implementation projects.
Strong practical knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, firewall policies, and network troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience configuring enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, and network security appliances.
Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet products is required.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and security incidents independently.
Good understanding of network security principles, segmentation, access control, firewall policies, and secure network architecture.
Able to prepare clear technical documentation and communicate technical information effectively.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within project teams.
Willing to perform implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and support activities at customer sites when required.
