Network Security Engineer

Job Description

• Provide project deployment for customers' Enterprise IT Network Services.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to fulfill project deliverables.
• Perform the role of Project Lead for medium to large-scale projects.
• Preferably possess basic knowledge and hands-on experience in the following areas:
• Design, planning, integration, implementation, and validation
• LAN/WAN/WLAN: Cisco, Alcatel, Aruba routers and switches

Network security solutions

• Security appliances: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco IPS/IDS, Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass
• Network monitoring: SolarWinds
• Network appliances: F5 LTM/GTM, A10 LTM
• Build or migrate cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Troubleshooting and problem identification.
• Documentation skills, including creating and updating detailed environment design, installation, support, and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Develop test cases and conduct proof-of-concept (POC) testing for new software and hardware prior to upgrade/deployment.

• Establish TAC cases with principal vendors and manage complex issues through to resolution.
• Able to work flexible hours, especially during scheduled after-office maintenance windows.

Requirements

• ITE / Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Security, or equivalent.
• Preferably hold Cisco certifications (CCNP/CCIE).
• Experience with Cisco, Alcatel, F5, and firewall products.
• Experience in LAN, WAN, WLAN, data networking, and security networking implementation.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
• Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
