Network Security Engineer

Job Description

• Implement, configure, and maintain network security solutions, including next-generation firewalls (NGFW), VPNs, and network security appliances.

• Manage and monitor network security devices, particularly Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet solutions.

• Perform firewall policy configuration, rule optimization, and security policy reviews to ensure compliance with security standards.

• Monitor network traffic, analyze security logs, and investigate potential security incidents or suspicious activities.

• Conduct troubleshooting and resolution of network security issues to ensure system availability and optimal performance.

• Perform security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and firewall configuration reviews to identify potential security risks.

• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain effective security controls.

• Prepare technical documentation, configuration records, and periodic network security reports.

• Ensure network security infrastructure complies with organizational policies, industry standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in network security, network engineering, or a related field.

• Hands-on experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network security solutions, particularly Palo Alto Networks or Fortinet firewalls.

• Must hold at least one of the following certifications:

  • Palo Alto Certified Network Security Professional

  • Palo Alto Certified Network Security Analyst

  • Palo Alto Certified Next-Gen Firewall Engineer

  • Fortinet NSE 5

  • Fortinet NSE 6

  • Fortinet NSE 7

• Good understanding of network security concepts, firewall policies, VPN technologies, and network protocols (TCP/IP).

• Experience in network security monitoring, incident investigation, and troubleshooting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
