Network Security Expert

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Network Security Expert / Network Security Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in enterprise network security infrastructure, perimeter security devices, and Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT).

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in implementing, configuring, managing, troubleshooting, and securing enterprise network environments, including Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), F5/ADC, Load Balancers, DDoS protection, NIPS, Proxy, VPN, and Routing & Switching infrastructure.

The candidate should also possess strong knowledge of security assessments, vulnerability identification, remediation, and security hardening.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network & Perimeter Security

• Manage, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise network security devices.
• Hands-on experience with Firewall, WAF, F5/ADC, Load Balancers, DDoS protection, NIPS, Proxy, and VPN.
• Manage NAT, PAT, Routing & Switching, SSL/TLS encryption and decryption.
• Implement and maintain network security policies and access controls.
• Perform configuration reviews, security hardening, and infrastructure optimization.

2. Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT)

• Perform VAPT for networks, infrastructure, perimeter security devices, web applications, and APIs.
• Identify and validate vulnerabilities, security misconfigurations, and weaknesses.
• Conduct Network, Web Application, API, Firewall, WAF, and Infrastructure Security Assessments.
• Analyze VAPT reports and coordinate vulnerability remediation.
• Perform vulnerability retesting and closure validation.
• Maintain vulnerability registers, assessment reports, and remediation trackers.

3. Security Assessment & Compliance

• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, CVE, CVSS, vulnerability classification, and risk assessment.
• Support security audits, compliance requirements, and documentation.
• Assist in incident investigation, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and security hardening.
• Support SIEM-based security monitoring and incident response activities.

Required Technical Skills

• Firewall: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco.
• WAF: F5 Advanced WAF / ASM, Web Application Firewall.
• Load Balancer: F5 BIG-IP, LTM, GTM, ADC.
• Network Security: DDoS, NIPS, IPS/IDS, Proxy, VPN.
• Networking: Routing, Switching, NAT, PAT.
• Security: SSL/TLS Encryption & Decryption, Security Hardening.
• VAPT Tools: Burp Suite, Nessus/Tenable, Qualys, Nmap, OWASP ZAP, Wireshark.
• Security Knowledge: OWASP Top 10, CVE, CVSS, Vulnerability Management, SIEM.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

• B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, IT, ECE or MCA.
• Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in Network Security / Information Security.
• Strong hands-on experience in enterprise Firewall, WAF, F5/ADC, and network security infrastructure.
• Practical experience in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT).
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Profile

• Candidates from reputed engineering institutions will be preferred.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale network security environments.
• Strong implementation and troubleshooting experience rather than purely monitoring or coordination experience.
• Relevant certifications such as PCNSE, CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, or CEH will be an added advantage.
