Lead Rail Operations at One of the Region's Largest Waste & Recycling Companies.
Interstate Waste Services (IWS) is seeking an experienced Night Rail Supervisor to oversee overnight rail and railyard operations at our Ohio landfill. This leadership role is responsible for coordinating employees, railcar unloading, equipment operations, safety compliance, and nightly production activities.
What You'll Do
- Lead overnight rail and railyard operations
- Supervise employees, equipment, and railcar unloading activities
- Manage gondola inventory, track usage, and operational workflow
- Coordinate with landfill operations and other shifts
- Drive safety performance and incident response
- Monitor production, equipment availability, and shift performance
- Complete shift reports and operational handoffs
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of rail, terminal, logistics, solid waste, or heavy industrial experience
- 3+ years of leadership or shift supervision experience preferred
- Knowledge of rail yard operations, gondola railcars, and unloading processes preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, FRA, and safety regulations
- Experience with heavy equipment such as loaders or excavators is a plus
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
