Start your career in automotive service in our Express Automotive Technician Department!
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve cars from designated parking areas and return to that area when repairs are completed; Follow key control procedures; Ensure that customers’ vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
- Properly complete the services and/or repairs for which the Technician is assigned. Produce quality work that evidence pride of workmanship and make every effort to achieve the production objectives.
- Accurately complete Multi-point Inspections and record results; Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures/work repair instructions; Pull documents and bulletins pertaining to maintenance items or described symptoms every time.
- Complete required ongoing manufacturer and dealership training.
- Maintain an inventory of normal mechanic’s tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the Technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the Service Department as “special tools”.
- Properly use special tools and equipment provided by the Service Department and return promptly. Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.
- Provide the administrative assistance necessary to complete warranty repair orders and other tasks assigned by management.
- Proactively communicate potential issues with Service Advisors, Parts Department, management, and other departments in order to provide the best possible customer experience and fix-it right the first time.
- Promptly Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
