Noc Engineer :PUNE C2H

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled NOC Engineer to monitor and support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of systems. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in AWS, Linux, and SQL, with automation skills being a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor system health, alerts, dashboards, and logs using standard monitoring tools.
• Perform first-level and second-level troubleshooting on incidents.
• Execute runbooks for known issues and escalate when needed.
• Perform basic Linux troubleshooting (logs, services, disk/CPU/memory checks).
• Run and interpret basic SQL queries for data validation and issue diagnosis.
• Work with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch) for routine checks and troubleshooting.
• Document incident details, resolution steps, and maintain knowledge base articles.
• Communicate timely updates to stakeholders and ensure proper shift handover.
• Collaborate with L2/L3 teams for deeper analysis and RCA contributions.
• (Optional) Build scripts to automate repetitive checks or reporting.

Required Skills

With 2 4 years of experience.

Technical Skills

• Linux Basics: File system, permissions, services, process monitoring (top/df/free), log analysis.
• AWS Basics: EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch (metrics/alarms), IAM fundamentals.
• SQL Basics: SELECT queries, joins, filters, basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch/Grafana/OpsGenie/etc.).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, load balancing).

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset.
• Clear communication and incident reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure during high-priority incidents.
• Disciplined with documentation and handovers.

Good to Have –

• Automation/Scripting:
• Bash, Python, PowerShell (any scripting experience is a plus).
• Experience with CI/CD concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.
• Understanding of ITIL processes.

Shift Requirements

• Comfortable with 247 rotational shifts.
