Role Overview:
We are looking for an L2 NOC Engineer – Server to monitor and support Linux/Windows servers
and VMware environments. The role involves L2 troubleshooting, VM management, server
monitoring, patching, and ensuring smooth infrastructure operations while meeting SLA
requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and support server infrastructure (Linux/Windows) and virtualization
environment.
• Perform L2 troubleshooting for OS, VM, and performance-related issues.
• Handle user requests, patching, and basic configuration changes.
• Manage VMware operations (VM creation, restart, snapshot, resource checks).
• Perform basic validation of server hardware, storage, and services.
• Escalate complex server/VM issues to L3 teams.
• Maintain documentation and ensure SLA compliance.
Technical Expertise:
• Good knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration.
• Familiarity with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) operations.
• Basic understanding of server hardware (CPU, RAM, disk, RAID).
• Knowledge of OS installation, patching, and basic troubleshooting.
• Exposure to monitoring, backup, and ticketing tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic OS and VM-related issues.
Certifications (Preferred):
• RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
• Microsoft Certified (Windows Server / Azure – basic level)
• VMware VCTA / VCP (entry level)
