Nurse Extern - Step Down

Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our med-surg patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.

• The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for senior professional (RN) nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities
• Participates in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our med-surg patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.
• Performs related duties as required

Required:

• Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program, and upon completion of first clinical rotation.
• Certifications: CPR.
