We are seeking a full-time registered licensed nurse for our Nursing Manager position. This candidate is responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operations of the nursing unit.

Essential Duties:

• Mentor/develop the clinical and supervisory skills of Charge Nurse and State Tested Nursing Assistants.
• Monitor operations of the units to ensure quality resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
• Work with staffing coordinator on scheduling.
• Evaluate unit policies, goals, and objectives; participate in the development and modification of unit programs.
• Work with interdisciplinary team and family members to ensure individualized plan of care is modified and implemented as needed.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• On-call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduated of an approved school of nursing.
• Experience as a registered nurse in a long-term care environment preferred.
• Current valid nursing license.
• CPR Certification (Basic Life Support) is required.
• IV certified, knowledge of PCC is a plus.
