Nursing Assistant [WCAN]

Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting and personal hygiene.

Provide diaper changing and other continence care when required.

Help residents move around and transfer safely between locations.

Check and record basic vital signs as instructed.

Assist nurses with basic nursing care and planned care activities.

Support nurses during medical emergencies when required.

Accompany residents to medical appointments and other activities.

Assist healthcare professionals during clinical consultations.

Encourage residents to participate in daily and recreational activities.

Maintain residents' dignity, safety and comfort at all times.

Participate in workplace audits and quality improvement activities.
