Summary

An internship role in the Netherlands where you build AI tools to automate engineering workflows and industrial automation tasks, using Python, LLMs, and automation workflows.

We are seeking a motivated and proactive intern to join our team, focusing on exploring how AI techniques can improve engineering workflows and industrial automation. This is a hands-on role where you will work on AI projects that help engineers work smarter and faster. You’ll build practical tools, learn by doing, and get guidance from experienced engineers. We especially support students who want to learn about industrial products while applying AI - no need to already know everything.

Key Responsibilities

  • Explore and build AI tools to automate everyday engineering work (for example: AI assistants for questions, document help, and task automation)
  • Help create and maintain automated testing platforms
  • Work on LLM-based applications like chatbots and internal knowledge systems
  • Document your work and share what you learn with the team
  • Pursuing a graduate degree at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Taiwan in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Familiarity with industrial automation products (e.g. PLC, HMI, VFD, Servo Drive) is a plus
  • Basic programming skills in Python
  • Interest in API integration and automation workflows
  • Familiar with or interested in LLM tools (e.g. ChatGPT, OpenAI API)
  • Basic understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) concepts
  • Strong interest in chatbot development or document-based AI applications
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn, and capable of working independently
  • You are enrolled at the university and available to come to the office for the whole duration of the internship (6 months)
