Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a OB/GYN Hospitalist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. Opportunity Details:
- Provide direct inpatient obstetric care, including management of labor, deliveries, and postpartum care.
- Manage obstetric triage evaluations and admissions.
- Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and also obstetric procedures, as needed.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies, such as postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, eclampsia, and maternal-fetal resuscitation.
- Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine specialists, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Promote a culture of safety through open communication and debriefing with multidisciplinary team members.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Flexible schedules available that include a combination of shift options.
- Serves as a clinical resource and mentor for trainees including residents, students, and nursing staff.
