Occupational Therapist
At WelbeHealth, each participant of our program is guided by our interdisciplinary team (IDT) - composed of clinical and non-clinical members who work cohesively to provide quality patient-centered care.
The Occupational Therapist coordinates and provides restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services, working closely with the PACE Physician, Rehabilitation staff, and other IDT members to maximize participant independence and safety, as well as enhance performance of ADLs.
This role is different because the Occupational Therapist at WelbeHealth:
- Lower patient volumes – no more seeing 3-4 patients an hour
- Form long-term relationships with participants rather than short-term rehab stints
- Collaborate with other therapists, providers, and disciplines
- Have work/life balance - no after hours of documentation
We care about our team members. That’s why we offer:
- Medical insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
- Work/life balance - We mean it! 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days
- 401K savings + match
- Comprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonus
- Unlimited CEUs through MedBridge
- And additional benefits!
On the day-to-day, you will:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments in our facility and occasionally in the home to define participant care needs, preferences, and goals
- Actively participate in IDT meetings to develop participant care plans
- Deliver and document interventions as agreed upon in participant care plans
- Provide active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, and functional training of ADLs
- Work with Therapy Assistants, providing training, instruction, and guidance needed to implement Functional Maintenance Programs (FMP)
Job requirements include:
- New Jersey-registered or AOTA-accredited occupational therapy program, with a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in occupational therapy
- Post-baccalaureate certificate in occupational therapy from an institution acceptable to the department
- Minimum of six (6) months of supervised occupational therapy experience satisfactory to the New Jersey State Board of Occupational Therapy (graduates of New Jersey State-registered or AOTA-accredited programs meet this requirement)
- Valid New Jersey occupational therapy license, or proof of license eligibility
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist that ideally has outpatient, acute, inpatient, or skilled nursing experience. If you’re ready to join a team that values both its participants and team members, we’d love to hear from you!
Compensation consists of base salary plus bonus. WelbeHealth offers a competitive total rewards package that includes a 401(k) match, comprehensive healthcare coverage, and a broad range of additional benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and relevant qualifications.
