We act for humanity.How this role supports our workThe Officer – Family Support Services performs tasks associated with the provision of program/project delivery, coordination, and administration, contributing to the end-to-end delivery of Family Support Services. Working with Tiwi Families you will deliver services grounded within the Tiwi Cultural Wellbeing Model and the Tiwi Skin Group System.This role is based on the Tiwi Islands or requires regular remote travel, including overnight stays (minimum 6 days per fortnight)What you will do day to dayCoordinate and deliver the operational and administrative aspects of programs/projects and activities.Recruit, support, and train volunteers, staff & stakeholders.Ensure effective data collection and monitoring and evaluation of relevant activities to achieve strategic impact, supporting consistent reporting data quality and analysis.Maintain project/program plans, documents, reports, tools, and resources, developing work methods where general work procedures are not definedProvide support to ensure program/project delivery falls within relevant budgets, funding, and service level agreements.What you will bringTertiary qualification and experience in counselling and/or Mental HealthExperience in providing trauma-informed counsellingProven experience in the implementation, coordination and delivery of volunteer led programs/projects.Experience in delivering project/program outcomes.Experience working with First Nations people in regional or remote settings, preferably in the NT.Experience in Family Support Services.Experience in Microsoft Office tools, such as outlook, word and excel.Experience working with individuals and/or families in a community services’ organisation or similar setting.A current unrestricted Driver’s licence and an Ochre Card (or the ability to obtain one) are mandatory requirements for this roleBenefits that act for you, while you act for humanityWork flexibility: Australian Red Cross operates under a hybrid working model which includes two days on-site and three days from home, providing you more work/life balance Financial wellbeing: In addition to your salary, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
